Body & Landscape
Eric Chen ,a taiwanese architect whom studied architecture at Tainan National University of the Arts, and philosophy of fine art at Tainan National University of the Art. As the leader of the studio Archiblur lab, Eric is also a lecturer of Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) in Taiwan.

The lecture is mainly about idea of trying to preserve the old houses remained in Taiwan with different way of architecture. Eric try to observing the need of Taiwan cities and how people see about the cities , after these data collecting Eric and his team have provide a series of moving architecture project ( Urban Archipelago Projects) .The project are made as drifting platforms that can fill urban spaces, the “Urban Archipelago projects” trying to develop a new architectural scale thati s able to drift and change between the body, the city, and the landscape, transforms different areas into theaters, school zones and stages. Built with a combination of tectonic elements and formal conditions, the designs investigate the capacity of people to engage with evolving urban morphologies and different methods of making art.

No1 Time Machine
A photography studio, the studio which is to let people capture the images, an produce and exhibit the images.
No2 Memory House
The purpose of this moving architecture is to know the knowledge of culture & historical in Taiwan , the foods and streets to connect the public.
No3 Exhibition Hall
A minimal place to let people meeting and interview in the public. The wall and roof used to exhibit the art works.
No4 Science Garden
an assembly with roof garden that tried to brought kids into the vegetables plantation, as the site was once surrounded with an important river but the river was being covered due to large building development
No5 Moving Garden
there are 30% of elderly people in Taiwan, this assemble act as a caring system to take care them of either ill or health
No6 Voice House
A dark room for X-ray scanning which able to check the body heath. Function same as No6.

No7 Wind House
To store the power around ocean line.
No8 Water House
To capture the rainwater.
No9 Moving Grden
Collect power and water from No7 & No8, which act as movable garden.
No10 Animate base of HongKong
Showcase for HongKong Comic Festival where it connect and engage with the people around by its separate structure.
Reworking archives : Dynamic Landscape
An installation site exhibition showcase which try to let visitors feel and view about the landscape to the public in dynamic way. The model is showing the collection of the context can be seen and the relationship between the visible and invisible, but also to continue the creative practice, based on the link to the land, linking the relationship between the vertical and horizontal multi-level development.
From my view , Eric have really done his great job to define the local need and try to challenge in site , the lecture of he giving is try to tell us about the importance relationship between human and site , how to bring the cultural and the site language into building . Nowadays , architect are mostly design building with symbolism and iconic , designing a building based on human need and cultural for public is lesser and lesser . For me , I think Eric is a very free person , and also a very busy person , a very person because of only him will do these kind of project and he as a busy person because designing all of these need to consider a lot of problem , I admire him about the affect of challenging solving problem .
At last we ask him a question , "did you feel busy of doing these kind of project, and will you having a rest or holiday ?"he just replied us " I don't feel tired actually , for me , when I am doing the project of develepment, I already feel in relaxing and holiday."
Eric told us doing design of architecture is not a stress , It's actually a relax.
